Marysville Post Acute truly lives up to 5-star care. The staff is consistently attentive, compassionate, and dedicated to meeting the needs of every resident. It’s clear they’ve worked hard to build a culture centered around dignity, respect, and quality care. A special shoutout to Maria in Social Services, she is an absolute gem. Maria goes above and beyond during the discharge process, ensuring each patient and their family feels supported and prepared. You’ll often see her out on the floor connecting with residents, meeting them where they are, and advocating for what they need. That level of care makes a lasting impact. Casey has also done an incredible job transforming the activities program. Her upbeat energy is contagious, and she brings so much joy and engagement to the residents every single day. It’s wonderful to see how much life and positivity she adds to the community. We truly value Marysville Post Acute as a community partner. Their team consistently prioritizes safe and successful discharges, often referring families to Comfort Keepers for 1:1 care when additional support is needed at home. That collaboration speaks volumes about their commitment to resident well-being. We appreciate this partnership and all the amazing work their team does!

I want to thank the social worker for getting my friend back to Marysville Post Acute. He was not very happy at the other place. He was only there maybe a week and lost weight. He doesn’t need to lose weight. He is much happier here and has gained more than his weight back. I feel comfortable with the care he is getting. Thank you everyone at Marysville Post Acute

My husband was placed in care at MPA after back surgery. The staff were mostly knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. The nurse, Kushboo (sp) was especially attentive and kind. I was with my husband everyday for 10 hours. Julius the CNA was especially caring. The CNAs and nurses were very responsive whenever I asked for assistance. If I were to voice any concerns it would be related to maintenance, facilities and food. My husband’s bed was broken at the foot of bed. It would not raise to be level with rest of bed and would drop suddenly. We were told he’d get a new bed but he never did. The tv didn’t work for majority of time. They were switching to Directv and after switch tv only worked minimally on nbc. No other channels. The only way I could get maintenance support was to ask Maria (Director) to help. The facility is very old and needs updating. Bathroom floor was missing tiles around toilet and under sink. Needed painting also. As for food, most meals my husband would not eat. We asked for alternate menu but he only received once. We finally started bringing food in for all meals. They told me to turn in alternate menu to kitchen for a week at a time but I didn’t know where kitchen was. Menu just stated that I should tell staff and that’s what I did. Overall, I feel MPA is a good care facility. I would recommend it for anyone needing rehab or long term care. My husband’s bed was there 20 days and PT, OT & Speech therapists were awesome. We would consider it again.

I have went back-and-forth on if I should post a few things about when my dad was in his last days of life. To me, it’s important that I do because it might save someone else’s family from going through what we went through. When dad woke up, totally lost and had refused his medication and food for a few days my brother and I made a decision to call an ambulance. The problem is when you are on Medicare Medi-Cal, Dying is not a reason for you to be in the hospital. But he also wasn’t able to go home at the time. Rideout did everything possible to find something to admit dad for. There just wasn’t any reason besides the fact that he was dying. The social workers there were so wonderful with us and they started looking for a place to have dad for his last few days. They came to us with Marysville care center. I looked it all over and it seemed that it had straightened up because I had Read the horrible things that have been done there to patients. We also knew our family would be there so he would have care. We as a family went over to the care center and waited for them to transport dad over there. They had dad restrained not because he was lashing out, but because he was drugged up and they wanted him to stay in his place while they transported him because he was getting very weak. We were all sitting in the front part of the care center, and they brought dad through. That in itself was horrifying, watching him, be brought in on a gurney and him not knowing where he was. We immediately heard one of their employees start yelling down the hall that he was restrained and that she did not want him there. What was she going to do with him? She was totally making a scene. It was so disgusting. Ambulance employees were so upset on the treatment and stated so. My brother asked the woman in front at the desk, if this is how professional they are and she went back and they took the woman away from the hallway. They went and got the person that ran the place. Now my dad is laying in the middle of a hall his last few days of life while they are arguing because he has restraints on, even though they were being told it was not because he was agitated. It was the most inhumane thing I’ve ever seen in my life. The woman that ran the place refused my dad. That tells a lot in itself anoit night time care. She even told us that she could not give him the Valium that he was on. The problem is had been on it for two days. Now that I look back on it. It was a blessing from God he was sent back to rideout and a doctor in the ER said that his potassium needed to be raised so they put him on the second floor and that’s where he would be for the next three days. They put him in a private room where we could have time with him. All of the staff were so wonderful with him and our family. They came in on Monday and said that Medicare Medi-Cal wanted him to be moved. At this time he was unconscious and only had a little time left to live so the decision was made to take him home. Hospice was wonderful and he passed away within one and a half days. I told the woman who was telling us that she would refuse dad, that I was going to tell our story on here and on yelp. She looked me in the face and told me to go ahead. So I am. We were also told that this place has been sold several times and all they do is change the name on the license, but it’s still the same people. Everyone at the hospital knew what was done to us and they were so apologetic even though they were not the ones that did it. I’m not doing this to open up a bash session on this place I am just doing this so that if you have a choice, you know that’s probably not the place to put a loved one ❤️

My husband and I are both nurses, we had to put my dad in a care home for about a month. It was actually just my luck that we ended up at Marysville Post Acute and I am so thankful we did. The first thing I noticed as a nurse is the absence of smell. The place smells very clean and I like that a lot, to me that means something. Secondly, there is always an abundance of staff walking the hallways peeking in checking in on my dad and that makes me feel like he is safe. They have taken extremely good care of my father. When he has to go to a Care Home permanently, he will be going to Marysville Post Acute. There aren’t enough good things I can say about this facility! Thank you to all of you for the great care he has received!

Our friend has been at Marysville Post Acute for a while now after a stroke and irregular diabetes. He is being treated very well. Excellent PT, nurses and all staff we’ve encountered. Social Service coordinator is super. He is losing weight, getting social, and improving. We are very happy with this clean and caring facility.
